Here at Olero Surfboards we pride ourselves in building 100% handmade surfboards. We hand shape, glass and finish boards to the highest of standards, start to finish. From the raw foam blank through to glassing, sanding and polishing, its all done in house, by one pair of hands at our workshop based in Dorset, England.
We always have the highest quality in mind and use nothing but the best materials, because of course we want your new surfboard to last the time, perform to its best potential and look as fine as possible! The boards we make are unique and quite alternative in their plan shapes, with all our curves and templates being completely original.
With classic yet modern styling in mind, your new board should be something thats a bit more special and personable to you, with outstanding performance keeping the constant froth for that next wave going, therefore being a board that you will want to cherish and look after forever.
Our intention here is primarily to create surfboards that perform exceptionally well for their intended design and wave conditions, letting you get the most fun and enjoyment out of your surfing! Because whats the point if you're not having fun, right? Secondly, when it comes to aesthetics we try and keep it interesting, with colour resin tints, pin lines and different types of cloths when glassing. We create unique looking boards using traditional surfboard building methods, cut lap glassing and all colour work is achieved using resin tints only, no spay paints.
John Robichaud is the man behind the product here at Olero, with over a decade of experience in laminating and finishing to the highest standards, having worked in high end marine industries finishing for multi millionaire company's. He has transferred these skills into building hand crafted surfboards with the same immaculate finish and standards. With an immense passion for fine craftsmanship and surfing, this has made a perfect combo for producing some beautiful looking surfboards and we hope you enjoy them equally as we do.
